You never know when it is time to replace the sodalime?
The sodalime usage indicator is a tool that will help during anesthesia procedures to let you know when it’s time to change the sodalime.
Use the indicator to mark off each block of 15 minutes of anesthesia until the grid (14 hours) is completed. You will then be certain that the sodalime is always fresh and ready to absorb the CO2 exhaled by the patient.
Sodalime generally changes color as it wears out. However the color has a tendency to change back after a period of non-use which can mislead you into thinking that it is still good.
